The Family Health Centers is excited to launch 2016 with gratitude for our patients, providers and staff. Last year we welcomed fascinating people to our practice. We also proudly expanded our charitable activities and volunteerism in the region.
2015 milestones include:
- We raised more than $2,000 for the NC Junior Diabetes Research Fund (JDRF) “One Walk” via staff fundraising and matching donations.
- Patients, providers and staff pooled resources to donate 568 pounds of food to MANNA Foodbank prior to Thanksgiving. With help from the Enka/Candler Food Lion, we also donated 100 pounds of holiday ham for families in need just before Christmas week.
- Have you heard of Eliada Academy? It’s an amazing learning environment for area children who need structured programs to help advance their educations. In 2015, The Family Heath Centers donated games, crafts, toys and oodles of other fun learning tools to the Academy. We hope the kids have a great 2016!
- We continue to provide care via the clinic at Asheville-Buncombe Community Christian Ministry (ABCCM.) We thank ABCCM for their service to Western North Carolina.
